Carol Kwiatkowski, December 20, 1935 - April 16, 2005
Carol (Emptage) Kwiatkowski, 69 years of Lambertville, MI, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 in the Naples Community Hospital, Naples , FL. Born Dec. 20, 1935 in New Rochelle, NY, she was the daughter of Gordon and Carolyn ( Sherman ) Jardine. She was a 1953 graduate of Albany Academy for Girls. She received her bachelors of Education from the University of Toledo . Carol was employed by the Bedford High School for 37 years, retiring in 2000, where she taught English, Speech and was instrumental in the formation and development of the Drama Program. She was a member of the Bedford Community Players, The Village Players, The Toledo Rep. Theater and also worked thru the University of Toledo , in the student teacher mentoring program. Carol was involved with the Green Hills Swim Team, a member of the National Thespian Society, the MEA, NEA and active in the Alumni of the Albany Academy for Girls.
She is survived by her loving children, James (Linda) Emptage of Lambertville, MI, Carolyn (Eric) Cordray of Westerville, OH and Robert “Chip” ( Nancy ) Emptage of Lambertville, MI. Brother, William (Jan) Jardine of Santa Fe, NM. Former husband and current friend, Joseph Kwiatkowski. Grandchildren, Nick, Danny, Lauren, Natalie, and Stephanie Emptage, Rob Cordray. Special Friend, Barbara Emptage. She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Robert Emptage.
Friends may call from 7-9 pm Wednesday and 2-9 pm Thursday in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2820 W. Alexis Rd. , Toledo, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Rev. Richard Sauerlender, officiating. Memorial may be made to the Bedford Community Players or Bedford High School Drama Department.
