Where have you been?

After quite the extensive time off, I have decided to return to the land of Blog. The thought of one person reading what I have to say is so validating. Therefore I return today, refreshed and a new, waiting to write down things that I have been a part of, related to, of just find amusing.

I mowed the lawn yesterday. After finally getting a Wednesday off after the loss of my co-worker, I was able to be productive on a Weds. I "borrowed" the Sr. Milks weed trimmer and chopped down the large tropical plants that had been growing from under the handicapped ramp and around the decorative stepping stones in the small box garden. There was a dandelion that had grown as high as the porch and had many heads that would have loved to open and wreck havoc on the small lot of 160. Getting the little mower to fire up is easy, but it takes a few extra passes to get it to cut everything. I think that a sharpening of the blades is in order, and will attempt that sometime this weekend.

In other homefront news, I officially have a grill. A small Chargrill with two pleasent shelves now sits quaintly on the small outset portion of the deck. It looks lovely, and needs only a propane cylander to get going. I could have the first steak Friday or Saturday. I am being a bit too ambitious and will probably settle for sleeping most of the weekend.

Oh, the weekend!

This weekend I, along with my trusty partner Korinne, will be wrangling five children for the sum of $100. It sounds like a lot of work, but how bad could it be. One of the kids drives, one is in track, one eats nothing but hamburger buns, and the other clings to Korinne's side. It should be an interesting time. What happened to the fifth kid you may be asking, well, I haven't quite pegged him just yet.

I also begin house sitting this Monday until the end of the month for one of our senior couples at church. It is amazing how much money one can make when merely checking on the safety or ones home, and occasionaly watering plants.

I have finished my second level of the Career path here at the bank, and that means little to me, I just wanted to work on getting the incentive for completeing it. The incentive may very well take a small chunk out of the cost of a ring for that someone special. Speaking of her...

Korinne is fantastic. She has been working full time at a medical billing facility and has been promoted 3 times within the time she has been there. She now is undertaking a project that closely would resemble what I do at Rep. Bank. She seems to be enjoying herself there, but I know she would rather be doing some English teaching. She has also been working on co-ordinating some of her graduate studeis papers, and getting ready to apply for an institution of higher learning. I'm very pleased with the productivity that she has been showing.

Other than that, the shows are on hold until Charolette's Web is over. It hasn't been cast yet, but auditions are coming up the end of October. I am looking forward to working with a group of people and hopefully reaching, in not exceeding the Deborah Tell that I have inside of me. Or rather, the Deborah Tell inside all of us.

Keep reaching for the stars!

I agree with that. The fact that one person is interested in reading what i have to say is great.
By the way, nice writing :-)
