Monday Morning Quarterback

This weekend flew faster than a flea flicker from Carson Palmer to Chad Johnson. Maybe you don't know what a flea flicker is, or who Carson Palmer is, either way, it just means that is was quick.

It began as I left the bank and saw a transfomer explode as I was turning out of the lot. Sparks, sizzling, and thick black smoke pulsed from the small grey can. Then, power outage. I found that out when I went to collect my check from Kroger. They were running on the generator. From Kroger I went to the Werner's.

Watching five children for the weekend.

Needless to say, doing something for ourselves was not on the agenda. There was plenty of running around, dropping off, picking up, and everything in between. We were able to watch the movie Robots which was a bit funny, but there were some parts where it was just stupid. Some jokes were so fast that you didn't know it was a joke unless you watched it again. So we did watch it again. I think I saw that movie five times this weekend.

For the most part the watching was fun. We played games, ate really good food, visited a pumpkin farm, walked to an ice cream shop, drove through the hill country, and even made it to Sunday School at church. That was what I was impressed with. Here's how things broke down by kid.

A.W.- Football game, Saturday A.M. PSAT, Pumpkin Farm, Church
B.W.- Friday night he was to go to a haunted house, but it was 1/2 hour away with two girls, so after calling and better informing his parents, he was not going. Then he wanted to go to McDonald's at 10:30 with his friends, that was vetoed. So he went to the game with A.W. Saturday he went to the farm. Then church on Sunday.
J.W.- Spagetti dinner Friday night, Game of Life, Track meet in Monroe, Farm, Puppet practice.
D.W.- Birthday party with friends, farm, puppet practice.
B.W.- Game of Life, Had friend spend the night Saturday, Ballet.

Not much crying, a few tifts, and a whole lot of dishes and garbage. Kori and I did a decent job. I think that everyone had fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again.

Last night Kori and I went to dinner with her sister, Elisha. Afterwards we invited her over for movies, candy, and a possible sleepover. It was fun. We stopped at Kroger and got some candy, pop, and plastic bags. Then we went back and watch Robots. (5th time for me!) I went to bed with about 20 mins left, and then woke up in the living room and got ready for nursery school. I had to take Elisha back home before I went to work, and everything worked out. I'm a bit tired, but the day has been good and it's almost over!

Off to Kroger for a few hours, then home to play the Muppets Gamecube multiplayer game. Should be fun.

Mmmm...onday night football. I'm leading in three of the four fantasy leagues I'm in and tonight I look to close out a great weekend.

Go COLTS!
