I'm N gaged...I'm N gaged

Haha! It finally happened. After six years and nine days of time spent with the woman more affectionately known as Milks, I decided to ask for her hand in marriage. It was the sweetest spot of a very lenghty week.

It started Sunday when we found out Megan had leukemia. She's a 3 yr old at nursery school.
This is an intro to Megan, as written by her father.

"On Saturday November 5, 2005 Megan went to the family doctor because she was running a fever after having tubes put in her ears. She had been on a few antibiotics for the last month so it really was no surprise to have her running a fever again. At the doctor's office they decided to do a blood test, as a precaution because she had been sick off and on for a time. They drew the blood gave her a shot and sent her on her way.
A little while after she returned home the doctor called and told us that her counts were way off, and that there could only be two things that could cause that. She said it was either a severe blood infection or leukemia. When we arrived at Toledo Hospital, Dr. Stein and one of her nurses(The Lovely Laura), took us right into a room and told us that she definately had Leukemia. I guess if there can be any good news in this, it is that she has ALL which is the supposed to be the best of the types to have. More good news came after the spinal tap found no cancer cells in her spinal fluid, they tell us that that is very good because it means that there is none in the brain either.
Overall she seems to be doing very well and is responding very well to the chemo, we owe a lot to Dr. Stein and all of the nurses here, they are all amazing people, and one of them looks like Donny Osmond."

Megan is back in today after her bout with a sore throat. More chemo and another spinal tap to come. If you'd like to check in on her, here is the website that you can look to for updates.

Monday night I had a small get together with friends to watch the football game. I left at 11:30 pm to go to Lansing so I could sleep and then go to class. When I arrived my room was not covered as it should have been, and I was asked to leave. It was very difficult to handle, but I ended up driving to my mothers house and staying there for a 5 hour nap. Then I left at 7:00am and drove to class. It was a very long day, but the instructor did a great job of keeping our attention. I ended up getting back home at 9:00pm. Extreme exhaustion overcame me as I went home and slept for 1 hour. Then Wed. and Thrus were both blurs, except for spending money for the ring on Weds. and the engagement on Thurs. It was really fun!

Then my car died on Sunday after it drove 1000 miles in three days, fuel pump died, but the check engine light isn't on anymore!

More to come soon...
