Farmer Clem's Lament

What the heck am I doing?

Ever ask yourself that, not really wanting to answer the question yourself. That's what I'm doing right now.

Background: Milks and I are married, effectively ending the "Milks" conifer. So Kori and I are married, we have a sweet wedding, lots of fun, little touches that made it authentic but not text book authentic. We ran out after the announcement, totally blowing by everyone. Most of the pictures we have post wedding are of our backs as we flew. Dinner was good that night. We went to church the following morning, then left for our trip.

Five hours and a lot of running around later we made it to the same little cabin that we stayed in last year. We were there for four nights, and it was a great time. I cooked lunches and dinners, Kor covered breakfasts. One night we pulled the mattress off the bed and threw it in front of the fire place and camped out in the living room. It was a really awesome time. We visited the Old Man's Cave, I got hit by a car, just the normal stuff you'd see on a trip. We also buried my crawfish at sea on the trip, packing him in ice so he would remain in his current state.

We were coming home and stayed in Sandusky to go to the Kalahari indoor water park. It was really fun. We rode the water slides, did the speed tubes, and I was able to body surf on the wave pool. It was a great cap to a fun and romantic honeymoon, as well as a really nice birthday present to me. We got home and unpacked all of our goodies. It was a good time!

Fast forward to now. I auditioned for Croswell; Oklahoma, Anything Goes, and Grease. I got cast as a farmer in Oklahoma. No big deal, I've done it before. I've done all three before. Really easy shows, some more fun that others. The biggest shock was who I did see at auditions and who was cast as Danny Zucko...Josh Kontack.

He must have taken muscle relaxers prior to his audition. After his rigormortis he must have come alive. Congrats to you Josh!

So I'm a farmer...
... can't get a job on a sale boat,
.... can't be in the same school with the cool kids
... stuck in the field shoveling the manure.

So I've commited, I'm a farmer, but in reality, is it worth it?

Ugh...
