Trouble in the Abbey

I'm breaking my vow of silence.

We lost the Abbot last night.

After much consideration, and speaking with the Abbot, it was decided that the Abbot of our abbey was to step down.

Rick, you will be missed.

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

Everyweekend it seems to be the same old hat, sit around, go visit someones parents, go to church, and then back to work Monday morning. But this past weekend, that was not the case.

We had a mini-gathering at my Fiddler wifes house. She had this really sweet house in the little town of Morenci. It was built by Andrew Jackson and the land contract was signed by him, which they own. Their home was lovely, including the new addition of a bricked patio, fire pit, and hot tub. It was a lovely home and I can't wait to see them all again.

After that, we planned a going away party for Perchik. That should also be a good time...

Other than that, things as usual.

Monky Biz is going well. After much strife from the "women" in the cast I think we are going to look great!

Cheers!

Mr. Domingeus, your table is now ready.

I'm working on that ring. Here's an update.

*I'm working on it.*

I have no idea where that opening came from, but the name sounded good as I sit here for the next 1:45 until 6:00. Should be great. I cannot wait.

I bought gas for 2.599, which is a steal given that today is Friday and the rates are due to go up tonight. On the workforce front...

DEBBIE IS LEAVING!

That's the word. She may be taking a new job in Perrysburg. I am excited, but I think it means I'm going to have to work some more. We'll see what happens.

For the weekend, a possible outing with my fellow Anatevkians, and shopping for a new mattress. Nothing but fun and excitement!

King out!

VBS!!!

Vacation Bible School. It runs Monday- Friday August 8-12. I am the game director, but because Salisbury took a week off for Alabama I am only there today and tomorrow, I have to work Mon, Tues, Friday and it bites! It was really cute today, Alex called me to make sure I was up and on my way. I took a shower and went to church where I had just missed the very first game time. Our schedule is 1/2 hour behind all the rest so if it starts at 9, we don't see kids until 930. Our custodian was driving the lawn mower around with three wheeled boxes around the parking lot, driving the pre-schoolers around. It was like Schindler's List for Kids. They were having a good time, and they cheered and waved when they saw me. I freaked some of them out as a result of the facial hair I now sport. They went on and I joined Alex, my assistant director. We went over the game, just a pass an item back and run to the front game. All the groups did very well but no matter what we did rule wise the team closest to the parking lot was the winning team. All nine times. It was weird. Tomorow is a scavenger hunt, but where we're at, there are three shrubs and two pine trees. Not really difficult. I'll be reading the latter half of the afternoon about outdoor games that can be played with large groups.

After the mayhem I briefly appeared at Subway to purchase a Daily Deal sub. Turkey, american cheese, mustard, mayonaisse, lettuce, banana peppers, spinach, carrot slices, all on their delicious wheat bread. Brought it to Republic where I am now until 5:00. Yesterday was an exciting day. I worked on my skills packet for my level 1 promotion. If I did a well enough job, I get a bonus and a title change. I made some copies of the documents so I could have them in the event that they are lost in the mail. Also, a woman came in to cash a check for $2500 and wanted it in cash. She was also inquiring about wiring some money to her son throught a friends account. Normally those things are not a problem. However, her check had the date scribbled out, a weirdly spaced name written out on the pay to line, and the memo was a bunch of garbage. I had my doubts about here when she was in her truck with no plates on it for 1/2 hour. I took it to our assistant manager, she waived me to the branch manager. After calling a few numbers we were unable to cash the check. She left and said she would bring another check back to cash. When she left Bev called the number on the account and we found out that the lady has been doing this for a while. I went through and found she had sucessfully passed off someone elses checks as payable to her, and they were cashed at some of our other banks. Luckily we had not cashed it and retained some of the information she had used, and the bank was able to stop losses to the customer! It was totally awesome.

Now, I'm just stamping interoffice mail documents and making sure we have enough paper. I'll be here from 830-6 on Friday, so if you have an extra $100, come open up a checking account and get some free stuff. Bring someone else with you and have them open an account, you could get a duffel bag, roadside assistance kit, or a fleece blanket! All just for putting $100 in the bank. Can it be any simplier?

Monky with the Fiddler

Business never stops, except to balance the books in ones favor or to take a lunch break. So it goes with the shows. Last night I began my Monky Biz rehearsals. Fiddler ends this weekend, so I'm going full swing into Monky Biz to make it great. Just copied my script from the xerox and am franticlly working on highlighting my lines for rehearsal. I blew up the script for note taking.

As days go, it's hot outside but a breezy 76 in le banc. Milks is in Bath visiting a pool of natural warm water. Sounds like a day. She rode the double decker bus around town and is looking forward to both Stonehedge and Jane Austin's Library. Sounds like a day filled with culture.

Tonight, a bit of cleaning, a bit of singing, a bit of eating (spinach, garlic, and mushroom pizza!) a shower, and a movie. Need to get going on the cleaning. Mother doesn't like a dirty house.

For those who read and are not with us, thanks for visiting the show. It was a pleasure to perform for you!
